Last summer, my partner took me to yoga for the first time. I was pretty reluctant about going because I had no previous knowledge as far as what the yoga lifestyle and practices were about. A year prior to yoga I became vegan and started to walk a more spiritual path away from my previous self-destructive lifestyle(s). I started meditating working out more and reading about Quantum and Metaphysics as well as books about Eastern philosophies. Yet still I was trying to find myself in the physical/material world.
It seemed as though there was this void between the new information I had been reading and knowing how to apply it to my life, so when I walked into the studio and felt Carrie's frequencies reflecting off of every spec of light and projected onto me as I came onto the mat, I had realized what I was missing in my my new path: joy, peace, love and light but most of all to SMILE. That day I understood what the saying, "Follow your bliss" truly meant and with each yoga practice the pages that seemed a void in the past collectively started coming together, opening hidden dimensions and doors within myself that I had had all the equations to all along but had been too busy trying to find them, rather than going within myself and seeing I already had them. I realized that Carrie, along with the rest of the staff at Inside The Bungalow were not just my teachers or servers but my family. I enjoy going into the cafe even if my schedule is too busy to fit a class in that day for blissful smiles and a meal made with love.
I recently got back into Tai Chi Chuan as well at Inside The Bungalow and realized my passion for the ancient Chinese martial art. Not only has going to yoga helped improve my spiritual life, but it has greatly improved my physical health as well. I am truly honored to have everyone at Inside The Bungalow in my life, and to have a yogi as energetic, humorous and loving as Carrie.
