Why should I practice yoga at Inside The Bungalow (ITB)? One of the features unique to ITB is that our studio is located in a 1923 bungalow style home surrounded by orchid trees, bamboo, and soothing water features. The room, with original hardwood floors, French doors and fire place holds no more than 25 students allowing for individualized attention. All of our teachers are passionate about sharing their expertise and the healing benefits of yoga through proper breathing, alignment, and postures.
What should I wear to class? Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement yet allow you to move upside down.
I don’t have a yoga mat. What should I do? ITB has yoga mats available to borrow, free of charge. However, we recommend purchasing your own mat for hygiene purposes as yoga is practiced barefoot.
Do I need to bring anything else? We recommend a towel, especially for the ashtanga, flow, and power yoga classes where the heat is turned up to 80 degrees.
How early should I arrive to my first yoga class? Please come about 10 minutes early to register and meet your teacher and fellow students.
I have never done yoga before and am not very flexible. Can I still do yoga? Absolutely! These are not the tryouts for the yoga Olympics. Yoga is about honoring your own breath and body. The FUNdamentals is a wonderful place to begin exploring beginning asanas (postures), breathing techniques, and alignment.
How often should I practice yoga? We recommend practicing 4 to 6 times per week. You will come back to the same body practicing once a week. You will feel the benefits of yoga practicing 2 to 3 times per week but at a slower pace.
Do I have to be a member to try a class? Not at all. We offer a drop in classes for $12.00 per class.
Can I share my package? Class packages of 10 or more can be shared with family members or friends.
Where are you located? We are located one block of North of Main street and one block East of Country Club in downtown Mesa.
